It works in ANY position. I show it mounted on a 2 x 12 laying on top of a barrel. Take it inside when you're done. It saves it from being weathered.

You load it up with cans, crush 10 of them in a row, and then reload. The cans fall out the bottom. I use a 5 gallon bucket to catch them. Please note that I found out that United Kingdom cans may not fit as they are too big. As far as I know only American soft drink and beer cans will fit. A 16 oz. can will fit, but only one at a time. It will also crush the 12 oz. Coors cans which everyone knows is a little taller than other cans. You can pack them right in there and it crushes them great. It will not crush a 120ml can.
